maintains a more than 50-year family tradition of proactive and patient-focused care that is centered on outstanding
long-term results. With advanced training in craniofacial and surgical orthodontics, Dr. Newman meticulously balances science with art, using cutting edge-techniques tailored to each patient’s specific condition.
Bringing extensive clinical experience to both children and adults, Dr. Newman is an Invisalign® Preferred Provider
and continually strives to improve technology and tools through innovation and research. He and his staff have created a family atmosphere that is friendly and inviting. “My team and I love what we do every day,” he says.
Dr. Newman feels honored to be nominated again by his peers as a New Jersey Monthly Top Dentist. An active
member of numerous organizations, he serves as chief orthodontist at the New Jersey Institute for Craniofacial
Surgery at Saint Barnabas Medical Center and is part of an interdisciplinary team there that treats highly complex
cases including cleft lip and palate.
A graduate of UMDNJ, Dr. Newman received his orthodontic training at Columbia University. He is board certified
in orthodontics and is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the prestigious National Dental Honor Society. He has
also achieved FACD status, which recognizes his notable contributions to the dental profession. Dr. Newman is a past
president of the Essex County Dental Society.
