The positive economic kind, of course. As a result of historic legislation, on
July 1 Rowan University will become one of New Jersey’s two comprehensive public
research institutions and will boast two medical schools. These extraordinary
distinctions are in addition to our nationally ranked colleges of engineering and
business, our South Jersey Technology Park and its R&D partners, plus countless
other points of pride.
Rowan is already making quite an impact on the region. We’re preparing a better
workforce, growing and creating new business spinoffs, spurring innovation, solving
everyday problems, and creating meaningful change.
This is what you call progress. But in many ways, our real growth has just begun.
Which is why July 1, 2013, will be known as not just a big day for Rowan University,
but also as a new day for New Jersey.
