Wayne a. aldredge, dMd • Periodontics
With patient comfort at the core of his approach to care, periodontal surgeon Dr. Wayne Aldredge uses the new-
est minimally invasive procedures to treat gum disease and place dental implants. A board-certified periodontist
and an officer of the American Academy of Periodontology, Dr. Aldredge is working to bring new and innovative
procedures to patients, and to change the perception of periodontics. “Research shows that one of every two adults
will develop gum disease,” says Dr. Aldredge, noting those most likely to have this disease are smokers and diabetics.
“Gum disease is a silent killer of teeth and it is critical that our field offers the latest treatments to a growing number
of patients who need our care.”
Teaming up with referring general dentists to co-manage their most complex cases, Dr. Aldredge thanks his col-
leagues for nominating him again as a New Jersey Monthly Top Dentist. His individualized treatment and commitment
to patient comfort have earned him the confidence and trust of patients and dentists alike. “With proper planning
and care, I can help patients with gum disease maintain a better quality of life,” he says.
After graduating from UMDNJ, Dr. Aldredge completed advanced training at Moncrief Army Community Hospital
and specialty training at SUNY Stony Brook. He began practicing at West Point, an experience that prepared
him to handle the most challenging cases. Dr. Aldredge is a lecturer and educator. He serves on the board of the
Northeastern Society of Periodontists, and was a former president of the New Jersey Society of Periodontists. He is
currently accepting new patients.
