maintains a more than 50-year family tradition of proactive and patient-focused care that is centered on outstanding
long-term results. With advanced training in craniofacial and surgical orthodontics, Dr. Newman meticulously
balances science with art, using cutting-edge techniques tailored to each patient’s specific condition.
Bringing extensive clinical experience to children and adults, Dr. Newman is an Invisalign® Preferred Provider and
continually strives to improve technology and tools through innovation and research. He and his staff have created a
family atmosphere that is friendly and inviting. “My team and I love what we do every day,” he says.
Dr. Newman feels honored to be nominated again by his peers as a New Jersey Monthly Top Dentist. An active
member of numerous organizations, he serves as chief orthodontist at the New Jersey Institute of Craniofacial
Surgery at Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center and is part of the interdisciplinary team that treats highly
complex cases, including cleft lip and palate.
A graduate of UMDNJ, Dr. Newman received his specialty training at Columbia University. He is board certified in
orthodontics and a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the prestigious National Dental Honor Society. Always giving
back to the community, Dr. Newman is chairman of the University of Pennsylvania Alumni Interview Program for
Morris County and a sponsor of National Children’s Dental Health Month through the American Dental Association.
He is also a past president of the Essex County Dental Society.
