ROSALIE P. NGUYEN, DMD • PEDIATRIC DENTIS TRY
Dr. Rosalie Nguyen, better known as “Dr. Rose,” is founder and chief dentist at Edgewater Pediatric Dentistry and
a well-respected dentist in the community and among her colleagues. When the practice opened in 2009, her goal
was for it to be the last stop for her patients when it comes to their dental needs. She strongly believes that all
children, including those with physical and/or developmental disabilities, deserve quality dental care.
The practice is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including CariVu™, an intraoral caries detector that can
be used as an alternative to X-rays to reduce exposure to radiation. Each treatment room has a ceiling-mounted TV
to keep patients entertained. Recently, Dr. Nguyen created a “social story” as a tool to help patients with autism and
other special needs prepare for upcoming dental visits. To provide the best experience for her young patients, treatment options include nitrous oxide, oral or intravenous sedation, and general anesthesia.
A graduate of UMDNJ and the St. Barnabas Hospital pediatric dental program, Dr. Nguyen received extensive training at the Rose F. Kennedy Center in New York City, caring for patients with physical and developmental disabilities.
She is board certified in pediatric dentistry, has FAAP status and is an active member of the American Academy of
Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, Bergen County Dental Society, and
New Jersey Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. A four-time New Jersey Monthly Top Dentist, she has also been named
several times as a Favorite Kids’ Doc by New Jersey Family magazine.
