A graduate of UMDNJ for both dentistry and periodontics, Dr.
Nowicki taught postgraduate periodontics there for more than a
decade. He has also had extensive and continuous postgraduate
training in dental implantology, and has lectured on implants, periodontics and patient-centered dental care.
In his practice Dr. Nowicki focuses on helping individuals under-
stand and attain optimal function and appearance consistent with
their own unique desires. “We treat patients as people seeking solu-
tions to their dental problems, not as mouths with people attached,”
he says. “We get to know them, and find the appropriate course of
treatment that meets their specific wishes.”
A cutting-edge approach is a key part of that treatment. “We
offer the most modern, proven techniques and technologies avail-
able, to get the best outcomes possible,” says Dr. Nowicki. This
includes CT scans to provide 3-D computer imaging for dental
implants, so he and his patients can accurately preview treat-
ment outcomes. “There’s no guessing, and no surprises,” he says.
“Everything is simulated and planned in advance.”
The most rewarding part of Dr. Nowicki’s practice is seeing
patients in a healthier state and with a confident smile. “Losing a
tooth can be an emotional and functional loss,” he says. “Mitigating
that with excellent dental care is very gratifying and can be life
changing for the patient.”

“Beyond providing expert endodontic care, our mission is to
be kind and understanding toward our patients,” says Dr. Michael
Pallante. He takes time to educate people and address their concerns. Appreciative patients often say it’s the first time they have
really understood how root canals work, why they are necessary,
and how to weigh their options. His caring staff extends a warm
welcome and helps patients feel at ease. Conscious IV sedation is
also available. Upon completion, people are pleasantly surprised with
how quick and painless the treatment was.
“I am quite comfortable with children, including those with developmental disabilities, as well as medically compromised and older
adults,” he says. “We don’t turn anyone away here.” He encourages
patients to contact him 24/7 for questions or emergencies. His
newly remodeled office features spacious rooms, scenic views,
comfortable chairs and TVs, along with the latest endodontic technology.
A UMDNJ graduate, Dr. Pallante completed his endodontic residency plus a master’s degree in oral biology at Temple University. As
an NIH fellow, he conducted pioneering research on oral cancer and
molecular biology. This multiyear New Jersey Monthly Top Dentist is
also past president of the Essex County Dental Society. He proudly
works and resides in West Caldwell, his hometown.
