“What sets us apart is our integration of periodontal therapy with
a comprehensive approach, including restorative dentistry,” says
Dr. Barry Wagenberg, who has practiced periodontics since 1974.
“We develop treatment plans in consultation with our colleagues to
coordinate all aspects of patient care.”
Dr. Wagenberg provides state-of-the-art periodontal and implant
services and is a pioneer in same-day implant placement. While he
has done more than 13,500 dental implants, his goal is to save teeth.
He offers laser-assisted periodontal treatment, an alternative to
conventional therapy. “We strive to provide long-lasting, aesthetic
results, delivered with minimal discomfort and cost,” he says. Most
of his staff have been with him longer than 20 years. This summer
Dr. Matthew Silverstein, a general dentist completing periodontal
training, will join the practice full time.
An alumnus of University of Pennsylvania School of Dental
Medicine and Columbia University’s graduate periodontal program,
Dr. Wagenberg is director of dental education at Newark Beth Israel
Medical Center and a clinical associate professor at NYU. A noted
educator, researcher and author, he strives to be at the forefront of
his field. Dr. Wagenberg received the 2014 Master Clinician Award
from the American Academy of Periodontology.

Since opening her orthodontic practice in Hillsborough in 1998,
Dr. Laurene Wolf, continues to be recognized for providing the finest
possible treatment for children, adolescents and adults. By team-
ing state-of-the-art technology with the most recent advances in
treatment, she offers a variety of techniques that ensure perfect
smiles are achieved in the shortest possible time. Instead of tradi-
tional impression materials, Dr. Wolf uses an i Tero® scanner to make
digital models of teeth. She also offers 3-D radiographic imaging
technology for complicated cases. This enables viewing the exact
position of teeth to create the most effective and efficient treat-
ment plan possible.
Among Dr. Wolf’s outreach programs is Giving Smiles, a nonprofit
organization she founded in 2008 that supports the local community through efforts that include scholarships for high school students
and raising money for the charity Steps Together. She also visits area
schools annually to teach the importance of good oral hygiene.
Dr. Wolf graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School
of Dental Medicine as valedictorian and completed her orthodontic
training at one of the most esteemed residency programs in the
country, the University of Washington in Seattle. She is past president of the Central Dental Society of New Jersey and a diplomate of
the American Board of Orthodontics.
