Michael W. Klotz, DMD, MDentSc, FACP
• Prosthodontics
Board-certified prosthodontist Dr. Michael Klotz specializes in implant,
aesthetic and reconstructive dentistry and remains dedicated to providing
the highest standard of care to his patients. “I have a passion for aesthetic
and cosmetic dentistry with a focus on making smiles appear very natural
and appealing,” he says.
In addition to treating routine dental issues, Dr. Klotz has expertise
in complex dental cases, including full mouth reconstruction, restoring
implants and fabricating dentures. He also has training in maxillofacial
prosthetics, which includes dental reconstruction for patients with oral
cancer.
Dr. Klotz’s state-of-the-art office is unique because it has a dental
laboratory. “The on-site laboratory allows us to maintain the strictest
quality standards on our restorations,” he says. “Many times we can do the
necessary work faster and often in the same day.” Other examples of the
modern technology he uses are digital radiographs, quiet electric handpieces and soft tissue dental lasers.
After graduating from UMDNJ, Dr. Klotz completed a rigorous
three-year prosthodontic residency focusing on aesthetics and dental
reconstruction at the University of Connecticut, where he also earned a
master’s degree in dental science. Following his residency, he completed
a fellowship in maxillofacial prosthetics at Memorial Sloan Kettering
Cancer Center.

Dr. Sharon Knoll, DMD, MS
• Orthodontics
Dr. Sharon Knoll aims to meet the needs of each patient in a warm,
caring atmosphere. Her practice focuses on conservative, individualized
treatment. “Not every child needs early orthodontic intervention, such as
expansion and headgear, which can be very expensive,” she says. “Parents
are often anxious to get started. I explain to them that in some cases,
it’s better to wait. If you start treatment at the right time, you can finish
more quickly, which spares the child from being in braces for many years.
I know how valuable everyone’s time is, and I don’t want to take up any
more of it than is absolutely necessary.”
Dr. Knoll is a graduate of UMDNJ, where she also earned a master’s
degree in oral biology. She works with her associate, Dr. Leah Friedman,
providing a full range of orthodontic care. She emphasizes the impor-
tance of posttreatment maintenance, including retainers and good oral
hygiene, to keep smiles looking their best. “We create a partnership with
our patients, giving them a beautiful smile for life,” she says.
Having grown up in Teaneck, Dr. Knoll loves practicing there. “I have
so much history in this town, and with that comes a lot of trust,” she says.
“People know that I treat patients as if they were my own children, and
find the orthodontic solution that is right for them.”
