Dr. Patricio Grob, a spine specialist, treats a wide variety of spine-related issues, from
degenerative disease to traumatic injuries, all while tailoring the care he provides to each
“The back is among the body parts most affected by wear and tear over time,” he says.
“At some point nearly everyone experiences back pain severe enough to interfere with
daily activity. Most is the result of a strain or disc problem from ‘overdoing it’ with activities
such as lifting, yard work or exercise.” For the vast majority of patients, a combination
of lifestyle modification and pain medication successfully alleviates their discomfort. Dr.
Grob counsels patients about prevention protocols, such as maintaining fitness and using
proper body mechanics to help avoid future problems.
Although surgery is not always needed, patients are comfortable knowing that Dr. Grob
is highly trained in advanced spinal surgery techniques. “My approach is to provide the
most minimal surgical intervention possible while ensuring the most efficient care and
effective outcomes for my patients,” he says.
