CHARLES DAKNIS, MD, AND ANIL K. SHARMA, MD
Dedicated to accurately diagnosing the cause of spinal pain and providing effective relief, Dr. Charles Daknis and Dr. Anil Sharma help to
improve the quality of life for patients, with a goal of returning them to optimal functional status. As interventional pain management special-
ists, they provide a full range of services—from simple rehabilitative techniques to cutting-edge technology, such as minimally invasive disc
removal, biologic therapies and spinal cord stimulation.
“Our philosophy with every patient is to treat the whole person, not just the spine or disease process,” says Dr. Daknis. “Pain can affect every
aspect of an individual’s life, so we provide a comprehensive evaluation that takes physical, mental and social aspects into account.”
At the practice, which started in 1997, the doctors have the ability to use a multidisciplinary approach to spine and pain management. Plans
are also on track to provide comprehensive nonsurgical spinal and musculoskeletal care.
“The most rewarding aspect of my work is seeing patients get relief of their pain, so they can go back to their normal routine for work, sports
and other activities,” says Dr. Sharma, founding partner of the practice, which has offices in Shrewsbury, Freehold and Toms River.
