Founder of University Spine Center’s team of dedicated physicians, surgeons and health care professionals, Dr. Arash Emami has orthopedic
expertise and experience in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of pediatric and adult scoliosis. “Our goal is to alleviate pain, improve the
level of function and enhance the quality of life for patients suffering from spine disorders,” he says.
A board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in spinal surgery, Dr. Emami utilizes cutting-edge DNA testing for his spe-
cialty interest in complex scoliosis deformities. “We know that although scoliosis only affects about 2 percent of the population, it’s different if
scoliosis affects your child,” he says. “We provide trustworthy, caring support for every patient and look forward to assisting you in addressing
your child’s specific needs.”
Dr. Emami is a clinical assistant professor at NYU’s Hospital for Joint Diseases. He also serves as director of spinal surgery at St. Joseph’s
Regional Medical Center in Paterson. An active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, North American Spine Society
and Scoliosis Research Society, Dr. Emami has published his research in medical journals and lectured at major universities and institutions.
He has been interviewed on national and local television news programs, including on NBC and Fox News networks, and is a consulting team
physician for the New York Rangers.
