He also uses cutting-edge techniques to perform high-risk carotid angioplasty and stenting, limb salvage for wound healing, and transradial
intervention for heart attack patients. In fact, Dr. Espinoza’s emphasis on innovation has made him a leading clinical researcher, one who has
not only worked with national and international facilities, but has also helped Hunterdon Medical Center to develop state-of-the-art cardiology
services. “The research has allowed us to bring contemporary technology, both device and pharmaceutical, to an area where patients would
normally have to travel to large academic centers for access to such resources,” he says.
Board certified in cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology, Dr. Espinoza is medical director of the Cardiac Catheterization
Laboratory and the primary angioplasty program at Hunterdon Medical Center. He is also medical director of the Hunterdon Cardiovascular
Research Division.
