HEMANT KAIRAM, MD, FAAP
Dr. Hemant Kairam is medical director of Summit Pediatrics, a trusted practice with a 35-year legacy of excellence. A board-certified pedia-
trician, Dr. Kairam cares for infants through young adults and has a special interest in treating chronic medical conditions. He joined the prac-
tice 14 years ago and teams with Drs. Maureen Baxley, Teresa Manocchio, Francisco Silva and John Vigorita, and their attentive support staff.
“Our best compliment is the trust that families place in us,” says Dr. Kairam, a father of three.
This respected physician is dedicated to creating a full-service medical home—a friendly, family-centered environment where open dialogue
is encouraged, and patients’ needs are met with utmost care and attention to detail. Reflecting an ongoing commitment to preventive care, his
group offers a support program for children battling obesity. “Seeing kids grow from newborns into successful, healthy adults is the highlight
of our work,” he says.
Dr. Kairam serves as vice chair of pediatrics at Overlook Medical Center and is clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at Touro College of
Osteopathic Medicine in New York City. He also instructs pediatric and family medicine residents from Atlantic Health System, which has
honored him with a teaching award. A passionate supporter of global health, Dr. Kairam leads biannual trips to Haiti to provide medical care
to children in need.
