CHRISTOPHER M. SHAARI, MD
During his 16 years as a board-certified otolaryngologist, Dr. Christopher Shaari has been named a New Jersey Monthly Top Doctor six times.
Among other accolades, this year he was honored as a Top Doctor by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., a Best Doctor by New York magazine and
a Top Doctor in Bergen County by ( 201) Health magazine. Dr. Shaari, who served several years as division chief of head and neck oncology at
Hackensack University Medical Center’s John Theurer Cancer Center, specializes in endoscopic sinus, nasal and thyroid surgery, along with
the medical treatment of hearing loss and other ear, nose and throat conditions.
At this solo practice, every patient sees Dr. Shaari personally and benefits from individualized treatment and the latest techniques. “There
are now many more options available to treat ENT complaints than ever before,” he says. “This is great news for my patients.” For better preci-
sion and safety, he frequently uses computer-assisted image guidance in sinus surgery, and he employs minimally invasive surgery when pos-
sible, meaning much less discomfort and more assured success for his patients. An out-of-the-box thinker, Dr. Shaari has earned nine medical
patents for new ENT treatment techniques. “I identify a clinical need and try to discover a new way to solve it,” he says, “hoping to further
improve patient outcomes.”
