For more than a decade, Dr. Muhammad Feteiha has performed bariatric surgery in
Union County with excellent results. “Nothing else effectively treats patients suffering
from obesity,” he says. “This operation frees people to discover parts of life they haven’t
enjoyed for years.” Following surgery, Dr. Feteiha provides individual counseling and support groups to help patients modify their behavior for lifelong success. He also performs

A board-certified surgeon, Dr. Feteiha completed his bariatric fellowship at New York–
Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University. He is director of minimally invasive surgery
and chairman of the Surgical Care Review Committee at Overlook Medical Center,
Summit. He is also president of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery’s

JOHN N. FRANZESE, MD
In practice for 19 years, Dr. Franzese and his dedicated staff treat patients as they would
friends and family.
Specializing in gastroenterology and digestive diseases, his practice combines the latest
technology with clinical acumen to treat gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary disorders such
as gastroesophageal reflux, gallstones, and other problems of the digestive tract, and also
provides screening for colorectal cancer.
Board certified in gastroenterology, Dr. Franzese is a clinical professor at Mount Sinai
Medical Center through its affiliation with Overlook Medical Center, Summit, where he is

GREGORY J. GALLINA, MD, FASCRS
Dr. Gregory Gallina, a fellow of the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, is
thoroughly versed on innovations in his specialty, including less invasive surgery for fecal
incontinence and robotic surgery for rectal cancer. “I now treat many colorectal conditions
with less invasive procedures, meaning lower risk and quicker recovery for my patients,” he
says. He performs routine colonoscopy as well as major colon and rectal surgery and practices the full spectrum of proctology, primarily at Hackensack University Medical Center.
After graduating from George Washington University School of Medicine in
Washington, DC, Dr. Gallina completed his surgical residency at UMDNJ and his fellowship at SUNY Buffalo. An avid teacher, he is associate director for surgical education
at Hackensack University Medical Center and clinical instructor at Rutgers NJ Medical
School. He communicates well with patients, taking time to discuss treatment clearly in
lay language. “My mission is blending my passion for surgery with the utmost compassion
towards my patients,” he says.
