STEVEN A. MASER, MD
Dr. Steven Maser is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training and
subspecialty certification in hand surgery. He treats hand and upper extremity conditions
and injuries—from children whose fingers were crushed in doors to adults suffering from
carpal tunnel syndrome. “Everyone needs use of the hands,” he says. “People don’t realize
how important they are until they’re not functioning properly.”
Patients benefit from Dr. Maser’s undivided attention as he helps them understand what
causes their symptoms and which treatments may provide relief. Operating is not the first
option he considers. “I’ll recommend the least invasive treatment offering the best possible
result,” Dr. Maser says.
A Jefferson Medical College graduate, Dr. Maser completed an orthopedic surgery
residency at Hahnemann University Hospital and a hand surgery fellowship at Thomas
Jefferson University Hospital, all in Philadelphia. He operates at Saint Clare’s Hospital and
Morristown Medical Center, where he serves as vice president of the medical staff.
