RICHARD STILLMAN, MD
Board certified in pain management, anesthesiology and medical acupuncture,
Dr. Richard Stillman began his career in internal medicine and applies principles of both
internal medicine and anesthesiology to the treatment of pain. He completed his anesthesiology residency at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts General Hospital, with a sub-specialty in cardiac and pediatric anesthesiology. His pain management practice utilizes
the most advanced minimally invasive techniques, which he limits to disorders of the neck
and lower back.
Dr. Stillman is an anesthesiologist at the Surgical Center at Millburn, which focuses on
outpatient surgery, as well as interventional pain management procedures. “The center is
state of the art in every way,” he says. “The extraordinary skills of our entire staff are appre-
ciated daily by our patients and surgeons alike.”
Involved in medical volunteer work in the community, Dr. Stillman has participated in
mission work in Honduras, Africa and China.

JAY I. STYLMAN, MD, FACS
Board-certified general surgeon Dr. Jay Stylman performs a full range of conventional
and minimally invasive surgery, tailoring his technique to give each patient the best possible outcome. “From minor office procedures to major abdominal operations, my staff and
I strive to provide personalized compassionate care,” he says. “We do everything we can to
alleviate our patients’ anxiety and to provide them with both physical and emotional comfort.” Patients also benefit from his more than 25 years of experience. Dr. Stylman, a fluent
Spanish speaker, can converse with patients in their native language.
A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Stylman graduated from New York
Medical College and completed his residency at Westchester County Medical Center. He
is affiliated with Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville and Saint Michael’s Medical
Center in Newark, where he teaches medical students. Dr. Stylman has been a proud
recipient of New Jersey Monthly Top Doctor honors for three consecutive years.

Board-certified thoracic surgeons Dr. Mark Widmann and Dr. Federico Steiner specialize in video-assisted thoracic surgery (VATS) for lung cancer, esophageal cancer, thymic
tumors and mesothelioma. They also offer other minimally invasive endoscopic procedures, such as electromagnetic navigational bronchoscopy (ENB)—the most accurate way
of diagnosing small lung tumors—and endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS). They perform
the full spectrum of general thoracic surgery, including open thoracotomy for lung cancer
and endoscopic treatment of benign esophageal disorders such as hiatal hernia, achalasia
and Zenker’s diverticulum.
