Drs. Ahmed, Esposito and Lovallo have consistently been named New Jersey Monthly Top Doctors and take pride in performing e;ective
robotic and minimally invasive surgery on patients often referred to their practice by both urologists and other patients.
“Our group performs the highest volume of robotic and laparoscopic treatments for complex cases of urinary tract cancers in men and
women,” says Dr. Esposito, who is director of the Center for Robotic Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgery at Hackensack
University Medical Center. “That volume rises each year, with patients coming to us from all over the tristate region.”
“The increase reflects our status as a major referral center for urologists in the area,” says Dr. Lovallo, who focuses on reconstructive
surgery and treatment of benign prostate disease. “Other doctors recognize our ability to do things e;ciently and get their patients back
to a normal life quickly. Our experience reduces patients’ time under anesthesia, lowering the risk of complications.”
Dr. Ahmed, an innovator in varieties of robotic and laparoscopic procedures, was the first physician to perform robotic radical
cystectomy and sacrocolpopexy at Hackensack University Medical Center.
