Cardiologist Dr. Paul Wangenheim is celebrating three decades with one of the oldest, most respected full-service cardiovascular groups
in Essex County. He joined Consultants in Cardiology immediately after completing his fellowships in cardiology and interventional
cardiology and has been a vital force behind its success ever since. “I have the pleasure of working with the best in my field here,”
Dr. Wangenheim says. His team includes Drs. Mark Goldberg, Edward Harback, Jacqueline Schwanwede and Nicholas Tullo; nurse
practitioners Cheryl Hottenstein and Persephone Vargas; registered nurse Alejandra Krutis; and holistic nurse Megan McNamara.
A preeminent clinician with board certification in internal medicine and cardiology, Dr. Wangenheim is also a testamur of the National
Board of Echocardiography and has a doctorate in medical humanities. He is highly respected for his personable and compassionate
bedside manner. At Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, he teaches residents and medical students and serves as chair of the
bioethics committee and clinical chief of internal medicine.
The antithesis of cold and impersonal, Dr. Wangenheim’s close-knit o;ce is dedicated to personalized care. “We provide cardiac
