Dr. Matthew Zornitzer, a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in hand, upper extremity surgery and microsurgery,
is passionate about taking care of hand injuries. “I have always enjoyed the complex anatomy of the hand and the challenge of treating a
body part that’s crucial for activities of daily living,” he says. Dr. Zornitzer specializes in all aspects of the hand and upper extremity, with
particular interest and skill in the treatment of complex distal radius (wrist) fractures, finger fractures and ligament injuries. He also has
expertise in common nerve compression disorders in the arm, including carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel syndromes.
Utilizing cutting-edge approaches, Dr. Zornitzer performs minimally invasive procedures such as small joint arthroscopy for arthritis and
intra-articular fractures. For Dupuytren’s disease, he provides o;ce-based therapy with Xiaflex® injections. A compassionate doctor, he is
pleased to o;er his patients endoscopic carpal tunnel releases. “The results are great,” he says, “and with a smaller incision than traditional
open surgery, there is less pain and minimal scarring.”
Dr. Zornitzer enjoys caring for both adults and children and restoring them to their preinjury level of play or function with their hands.
