At Goryeb Children’s Hospital, Dr. John Gregory
and Dr. Steven Halpern are devoted to providing their young patients with exceptional
care. Board certified in pediatric hematology-oncology, these doctors have a sole focus on the
diagnosis, treatment and prevention of cancers
and all forms of blood diseases in children.
They work with partners Dr. Melinda Fritz and
Dr. Michelle Neier.
As specialists with more than 20 years of
experience, Drs. Gregory and Halpern also
treat iron deficiencies, anemia, hemophilia,
sickle-cell disease, thalassemia and clotting
disorders. They are members of the Children’s
Oncology Group and participate in the latest
clinical trials for childhood cancer.
“We have created a comfortable setting
tailored to children and adolescents,” says
Dr. Halpern, who is Goryeb’s medical director.
“We work with an outstanding team of nurses,
social workers, child-life therapists and other
physicians, tending to every aspect of patient
and family care.”
Goryeb Children’s Hospital has on-site
laboratory, pharmacy and transfusion services.
Young patients who require overnight monitoring are accommodated in rooms with around-the-clock care. The physicians work closely
with medical specialists at Atlantic Medical
Group, Goryeb Children’s Hospital and the
Carol G. Simon Cancer Centers.
