Board-certified and fellowship-trained neurosurgeon Dr. Hooman Azmi is an
authority in the surgical treatment of Parkinson’s disease and other movement
disorders. He practices at North Jersey Brain and Spine Center, a group that
proudly provides expert neurosurgical services, delivered with great emphasis

Dr. Azmi is founder and director of Hackensack University Medical Center’s Division of Functional and Restorative Neurosurgery, where patients with

George P. Batsides, MD
Double board-certified in general and thoracic surgery, Dr. George Batsides provides patients with exceptional outcomes thanks to his extensive clinical expertise
involving high-risk cardiac procedures, complex aortic surgery, cardiogenic shock,
implantation of short- and long-term ventricular devices, traditional open and
re-operative procedures and minimally invasive valve procedures.
In practice for more than 20 years, Dr. Batsides serves as both chief of cardiac
surgery and surgical director of mechanical circulatory support at Hackensack
University Medical Center’s Heart and Vascular Hospital. He is also an associate
professor of surgery at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine at Seton Hall
A fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Dr. Batsides lectures worldwide
on cardiogenic shock and diseases of the aorta and has published extensively in
his field. Research projects he has worked on include topics such as minimally
invasive valve surgery, re-operative surgery and treatment of aortic dissections.
